How did Niklas Luhmann maintain his Zettelkasten?
Niklas Luhmann maintained his Zettelkasten using two boxes (kasten). One box was for his Literature notes, and the other for his Permanent notes, which were based upon his literature notes. His fleeting notes would be elsewhere, and if deemed appropriate, would be reviewed with literature notes and turned into a permanent note.
